Spot the Slop does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device and works fully offline.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no account system, and makes no network requests.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your high score and best streak locally on your device (via the operating system's standard local-storage mechanism) so your progress persists between sessions. This information:
- never leaves your device,
- is not transmitted to us or any third party,
- is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Permissions
The app requests no special permissions and does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, files, or any other personal information.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Content
All literary passages shown in the app are either public-domain works or original AI-generated text created for the game. All AI passages were generated offline during development and bundled with the app at build time; no AI generation, inference, or network calls occur at runtime. The app does not call any AI service, does not display ad content, and does not enable users to create or submit their own content.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
